VLSI/ DSP LABORATORY

VLSI Design / Digital signal Processing (DSP) lab was part of Electronics and Communication Engineering Department. Ever since its inscription the VLSI lab has constantly been upgraded to match with the technologies of the modern era. The VLSI/ DSP lab helps the students, faculties and all enthusiasts to acquire all the much needed concepts to deal with different practical experiments and research. The focus of this lab is widely spread towards the development of projects in VLSI and Signal Processing Domains.

This lab was equipped with personal Computers installed with most update industry standard VLSI and DSP tools like Xilinx ISE, MATLAB, Tanner EDA and different hardware like Xilinx Spartan Kits, Digital Signal processor kits and other hardware resources.

Facilities:

  • This lab is equipped with 25lakhs worth Hardware and Software Components.
  • 30 Personal computers with i3 processor and internet facility are available for students and faculty benefit.One HP LASER jet 1020 plus printer is used for taking the program and output prints.
  • Software Tools: Xilinx ISE, Tanner EDA, MATLAB, LabVIEW, Microwind.
  • Hardware Kits: 20 FPGA kits and 15 Digital Signal Processors.
  • Oscilloscopes and Spectrum Analyzer

ELECTRONIC CIRCUITS LABORATORY

Electronic Circuits Laboratory familiarizes the students with the fundamentals of electronics. This Lab is equipped with a wide range of devices, which helps the students to undergo intensive training and provides a deep insight into the world of electronics. The lab provides a skeleton of Electronics and Communication Engineering. Mini Projects using basic component like Transistor, LED, PN diode, Zener diode, Transformer can be done. The Laboratory is utilized by II semester ECE & Bio-Medical students for Circuit and Devices lab, IV semester ECE students for circuit and simulation Integrated lab, III semester EEE students for Electronic laboratory.

Facilities:

  • This lab is equipped with Digital Storage Oscilloscope, Cathode Ray Oscilloscope, Function generator, Multi Output Power supply, Digital Multi meter.
  • Digitalized with 5 PC with latest i3 processor for doing simulation experiments
  • Powered with Orcad PSPICE 9.1 and MATLab R2015.
  • The total establishment cost of this lab is Rs.12,78,655/-

Digital/Linear Integrated Circuits Lab

A course in Linear Integrated Circuits is an essential part of a well-rounded Electronics and Communication Engineering. It introduces the concept and application of operational amplifiers. It houses a large number of state of the art equipments like Oscilloscopes, Function Generators, Power Supply units and Linear IC Trainer Kits and Op-amp. Digital laboratory is used to gather practical knowledge regarding different Digital equipments, technologies and applications. More number of basic mini projects can be done using IC555, Op-amp and universal gates.

Facilties:

  • This lab equipped with major components like Cathode Ray Oscilloscope, Function generators, Digital IC trainer kit, IC tester.
  • Digitalized 8 PC used for performing simulation experiments.
  • Powered with simulation softwares like PSICE for performing analog circuit simulation and Xilinx ISE for digital circuit simulation.
  • The total establishment cost of this lab is Rs 967531/-

MICROWAVE LABORATORY

Microwave Laboratory Lab familiarizes the students with the basics related to Microwave and Optical Communications. This Lab is equipped with a Microwave Test Benches, Optical Trainer Kits, which helps the students to undergo intensive training and provides a deep insight into High Frequency Communication Systems.
The Students gain practical knowledge about the transmission and reception of signals using various types of microwave antennas. The Laboratory is utilized by VII semester ECE students for Optical & Microwave laboratory.

Facility:

  • This lab is equipped with major equipments like Network analyzer, Microwave power meter, Optical power meter, Advanced fiber optic trainer, Digital storage oscilloscope, Microwave bench setups.
  • The total establishment cost for this lab is Rs 22,84,940/-

COMMUNICATION SYSTEM LAB

In the Communication system lab, the students can access the lab facility to do the lab works design to implementation. The objective of communication system lab is to understand the building blocks of both analog digital communication systems. It helps the students in analyzing the mathematical background for signal flow in a communication system. The lab will equip the students to examine the performance of a baseband and pass band digital communication system in terms of error rate and spectral efficiency. We can perform the time and frequency domain analysis of the signal in a digital communication system.

  • This lab is equipped with major equipments like Software Defined Radio, Digital & Analog modulation kits, Function generators, Cathode ray oscilloscope,.etc.
  • Digitalized with 8 Personnel Computer with latest configuration for doing simulation experiments.
  • Powered by softwares like MATLab R 2015 and Xilinx 14.6 ISE
  • The total establishment cost of this lab is Rs 12,72,175/-

MICROPROCESSOR LABORATORY

Microprocessor Laboratory familiarizes the students with the fundamentals of integrated digital clock circuit known as Microprocessor and Microcontroller. This Lab is equipped with a wide range of Microprocessor and Microcontroller trainer kits, which helps the students to undergo intensive training and provides a deep insight into the world of automation.

This laboratory enables and provide platform for the students to familiar with their basic programming skills and automation skill for the preparation of modernized society. The Laboratory is utilized by ECE, EEE, CSE, IT, Mechatronics and Biomedical Students.

Facilities

  • This lab is equipped with 8085, 8086 Microprocessor and 8051 Microcontroller kits. It also has interfacing kits for interfacing AC motor, DC motor, Stepper motor, Traffic light, Printer Interface, Temperature control, Real time clock, Serial/Parallel Communication Interface
  • Digitalized with 30 PC for performing software compilation and downloading to the kits.
  • Power with softwares like Ride IDE, MASM
  • The total establishment cost of this lab is Rs 13,42,958/-

COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS (PG) LABORATORY

Communication Systems (PG) Laboratory familiarizes the students with the research of communication and microwave. This Lab is equipped with a wide range of modern devices, which helps the students to undergo intensive training and provides a deep insight into the world of electronics and communication.

Facilities:

  • This lab is equipped with major equipments like Microwave Integrated Circuit(MIC) trainer , Antenna Trainer kit, Standard Gain Horn with different Bands, GPS Receivers / GPS Kit, Microwave Power meter with sensor, Optical Fiber communication Kit Dual Channel & PC-PC.
  • Digitalized with 22 PC for performing simulation experiments.
  • Powered with softwares like MATlab R 2015, NS2.
  • The total establishment cost is about Rs 40,07,200/-
