It has become essential to improve the teaching skills and knowledge of the teachers and learning experience of students to improve quality.
Quality Improvement Cell (QIC) is created at our College with Dr. Srinivasan Alavandar, Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering as the in charge of the cell.
Quality Improvement Cell is implementing and monitoring strategies that are needed to ensure that Faculty and Students are exposed to the various learning resources available through different sources for the improvement of teaching and learning experience.
College has installed more than 10 computers with internet in various places and several computers with internet in the digital library. These computers are available to faculty and students and loaded with the Massive open online courses materials like NPTEL, CFD and Bridge course CD's by DOTE etc. All the NPTEL Videos and Lectures are made available through College LAN. These computers are available for access in their free time, even after college hours.
Further, the faculty members of all the departments are downloading their corresponding subjects from NPTEL, CFD websites and they keep those in DVD form and are utilizing it throughout their course. Mapping of NPTEL Videos with the university subject syllabus is included in their lesson plan to facilitate the students.
