In his presidential address, Shri. R.N.Jayaprakash, Managing Trustee, Agni College of Technology counseled the parents to share their hardships and struggles to their children enabling them to realize their foremost responsibilities towards their family. This, he stated, would inculcate the necessity of kick-starting a lucrative career for themselves and support the family to prosper. Further, he drew the attention of the gathering to the fact that in the forthcoming years there shall be a severe dearth of skilled engineers to compensate for the overwhelming demand of indigenous production companies as the result of the government’s initiatives such as ban on outsourcing defence-equipment manufacturing and the promotion of Make in India initiatives.
The Chief Guest, Mr. Chandrasekar Chenniappan, Senior Director, Human Resource, Virtusa, Banglore, addressed the students to have a seamless transition from school to college using their freedom sagaciously and to realize the truth behind the maxim, “Freeedom is Not Free”. He added that with limitless freedom comes loads of responsibilities, and so to be successful every student must be self-disciplined and responsible for his individual actions for his future career and personal life is the sum total of all his actions right from college. He stressed upon the indispensability of Planning and Time Management for all professional students to bring about optimal results of their hard work. Dr. R.Balaji, Head of the Science and Humanities Department proposed the vote of thanks.
