A one day workshop on " Low cost integrated futuristic additive manufacturing" was conducted by the Department of Mechatronics Engineering on 9.3.2018 in the seminar hall and was attended by the Students of II and III Year Mechatronics and the faculty members. The event started off with Tamizh Thai Vazhthu and the HOD Dr.S.Chandravadhana, delivering the welcome address and followed by the speech of the Dean Dr.Srinivasan Alavandar and Principal Dr.R.S.Kumar. In his address, the principal paved way for the Eyantra lab and the Machining lab to be open for 24 x 7 and the students of various departments to work on projects. He also gave inputs as to how to start the MSME incubation centre and start up for the Department of Mechatronics Engineering along with our young chief guest Mr.Magesh.J who is an entrepreneur and well versed in the field of 3 D printing, IoT, Machine learning and Artificial Intelligence.
In due course the incubation cum start up centre will be set up for manufacturing 3 D printers by our students. This was discussed with Mr.J.Magesh who agreed for the same. Thereafter the students attended the workshop and it came to an end in the evening at 4.00 pm with Mr.J.Khamruddeen of III Year giving away the vote of thanks
